The Nortech IdentiPark Data Concentrator (DC) makes use of a high-speed ethernet connection to transfer information from IdentiPark software and the IntelliBooster (IB). The DC then switches its communications format to the Nortech Proprietary Can (NPC) bus when sending commands to its IB’s.
Although the DC has no intelligence capabilities, it enables the IdentiPark network to be expanded to a maximum of 31 IB’s per DC. As the IB is able to support 31 devices, this allows for up to 961 devices to be controlled by each DC.
The Nortech IdentiPark IntelliBooster (IB) provides power and communications to equipment on its sensory bus distributing commands from the Data Concentrator among the 31 possible sensory or visual devices that can be linked to it. It is microprocessor-based and has the intelligence capacity to maintain commands to sensory equipment such as the Bay Monitoring Sensors (BMS) and the Bay Occupancy Display (BOD), even if the link to the Data Concentrator or system computer is lost.
The Nortech IdentiPark Bay Monitoring Sensor (BMS) uses an ultra sonic sensor to detect the presence of a vehicle. Once a bay is occupied, the LEDs change from green to red.
The Nortech IdentiPark Bay Occupancy Display (BOD) is suited to applications where the BMS may be obscured from the approaching vehicle. In this case, a BOD is placed in the aisle to indicate the status of one bay or a group of bays.
The Nortech IdentiPark Numeric Message Signs (NMS) indicate the number of available parking bays in a specific zone or level, allowing a driver to make a pre-emptive decision as to whether they want to park in that zone or level before they enter. The indication of occupancy can be improved either through the use of a circle/cross, or arrow/cross enhancement to the NMS unit. The NMS receives its configuration and commands from the IdentiPark software, and can be either powered from the IB along the sensor bus or from a mains power source.
Nortech IdentiPark Intersection Guidance Displays (IGD) comprise displays of green arrows or red crosses that guide the vehicles through the parking facility by indicating which are go/no go areas.
Nortech IdentiPark Vehicle Counters (IVC) are available in 4-, 8-, 12- and 16-channel versions, incorporating their own processors with power supplied from the bus.
