IdentiPark for Olympic Park

OLYMPIC PARK BEIJING 2008
IdentiPark, the intelligent parking system designed and manufactured by Nortech International, will be installed in the undercover parking of the National Stadium in Beijing by March 2008. The National Stadium forms part of the Olympic Green and will be central in the Beijing 2008 Olympics. IdentiPark offers benefits for all from a stress-free and user friendly environment for drivers to maximised occupancy which relates directly to increase in revenue and profitability for the facility owner/manager.
One of the most challenging issues that faces the organisers of the Beijing 2008 Olympics it the high pollution levels in and around Beijing. In addressing this problem many steps are already been taken to reduce these levels such as relocating more than 100 chemical, steel and pharmaceutical factories, replacing nearly 300,000 taxis and buses with less polluting vehicles and replacing coal furnaces with natural gas furnaces. So where does IdentiPark assist in this regard? By directing vehicles to nearest convenient available parking space, IdentiPark ensures that any toxic emissions are kept to a minimum. This is coupled with fewer vehicles meandering throughout the facility looking for that elusive parking space and with real-time information on the occupancy of the facility which can be used to control ventilation and lighting. Furthermore, IdentiPark operates off a low-power base and has the ability to automatically adjust illumination intensity relative to the ambient light conditions. All this assists in placing minimum demands on the power required to effectively run IdentiPark.
IdentiPark offers flexibility in installation and, through the various options available, is able to be customised for all applications which include:
- integrated zone and level counting,
- various illuminated displays such as Numerical Message Signs (NMS), Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Intersection Guidance Displays (IGD),
- three levels of sensor display
- Bay Occupancy Display (BOD) for those sensors which are not visible from the approaching lane.
The IdentiPark sensors utilise ultrasonic technology combined with various smarts, such as temperature compensation and DSP, to ensure the highest detection accuracy available. Co-ordinating all of this is a full suite of IdentiPark Software offering:
- Graphical User Interface mimicking the actual parking facility and all of the IdentiPark components within it,
- useful management reports,
- full guidance and control,
- accessibility through password controlled access.
Commenting on the selection of IdentiPark for the Olympic Park Mr. Robin Zhang (CEO Beijing Navigator Technologies) said, "I selected IdentiPark for many reasons apart from the reassurance that Nortech International has been designing and manufacturing electronics for the parking industry for more than 37 years, but especially for their global representation backed by the highest service levels that I have encountered anywhere. With IdentiPark I was able to customise the parking guidance solution to meet and exceed my customers demands while at the same time remaining competitive in this market. Nortech became intimately involved in every step of the project which will ensure a smooth integration of IdentiPark into the facility. The training offered and back-up supplied guaranteed that we became proficient in the IdentiPark system and as a result I am able to offer my customers the same levels of service."
IdentiPark is now installed across the globe in North America, Europe, Far East and Africa with many new projects, such as Olympic Park, coming on line in these and other territories over next few months. It is this international presence coupled to a high quality product that is making IdentiPark the intelligent parking guidance system choice for so many parking facilities.
